The Goliaz Unbroken Method assumes the principle that if you are paced, the flow of air in your lungs and your muscles is more constant and therefore you will delay the exhaustion point. This method basically is an algorithm that dynamically adapts to the athletes fitness levels each time they perform. In a couple of days it will be perfectly adapted to the athletes.
But what does it mean “perfectly adapted”? It means that the athletes will be reaching failure (going BROKEN) when they reach 85% to 90% of the effort. So, if the athletes are about to go BROKEN, what makes them go further??
The answer – ADRENALIN and WILL POWER. The athletes have the desire to stay UNBROKEN and so they will give all they can to do it. That 10% to 15% effort is where the Vo2Max gain is. By peforming UNBROKEN once, the athletes will increase their paces minimally next time. And the great part is, that the fitness gains provoked by the insane ADRENALIN efforts will make them reach the same 85% to 90% of the effort in the same fitness conditions as the day before. With one difference – now they are performing FASTER!!
So, when you cannot perform the full 100 Burpees UNBROKEN, it is because the algorithm is meeting you just now. It will adapt and in a couple of days you will be almost dying when reaching 90 Burpees and you will complete 100 BECAUSE YOU WANT IT SO BAD!!
On the other hand if you could perform the 100 reps reasonably easy it is because that is not the pace that tops your level, the pace that really makes you improve. So why do you have that pace? Maybe you did not go full speed in the initial tests? Could be. Good news is that also here the algorithm will rapidly adapt to you.
Either way I believe this method will boost your fitness level during this month and therefore we will be using it once in a while.
Give your best and #GOBEYOND
